Colton Seale

Founder & Principal Consultant

Colton led the development of the Interview & Interrogation (I&I) training for the High-Value Detainee Interrogation Group (HIG) which is recognized as breaking the mold for interviewing training and bringing science into the art of interviewing. This was done in conjunction with the U.S. Intelligence Community but transfers perfectly into cutting-edge training and fact-finding systems for almost any organization. While with the HIG, Colton taught the HIG I&I courses to thousands of members of the U.S. Intelligence Community as well as developing training programs for some of the U.S.’s premier law enforcement agencies and many of our foreign partners.

  • Through his 22 year career as an FBI Special Agent, Colton conducted thousands of interviews and led a variety of specialty teams in high-pressure, high-stakes settings domestically and internationally, including in the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa. Colton brings a wealth of knowledge and experience relating to counterterrorism, counterintelligence, criminal matters, and the business world to every group he works with.

Colton is passionate about interviewing and about using the most recent science to work with your teams to help them become the absolute best they can be at their craft. Colton is a certified coach and brings a coaching ethos to working with your teams to fulfill their best potential. Chaz Seale

Advisor in Corporate Culture, Leadership, & Strategy

Chaz brings an amazing and diverse career as a past C-level and senior management executive, Board Member/Chair, business owner and consultant.  He has led and managed highly complex operations with industry-leading companies, entrepreneurial entities, and a wide-variety of non-profit organizations.

At Pyxis he provides direction in the areas of minimizing risk, corporate culture, leadership, and overall business performance and strategy. Historically, Chaz has recognized that the biggest risks are most often found within a company’s culture and communication, which link directly to leadership.

Chaz’s perspective is that “Addressing this risk goes way beyond selecting and developing talent. The key to harness the full energy of every team member is to never rest in the unfounded surety that you know exactly how your people are really thinking or acting.

  • Uncovering unwanted surprises requires blending trust with consistent and concentrated study.

Chaz further states that “Universally companies strive to understand reality, create a thriving culture and obtain optimal performance.  The trouble is that most never achieve these goals.  I, too, have been forced to face hidden truths within my operations.  As difficult as they were, they helped construct a truer reality and directed me to take proper corrective action”

This multitude of experience is what Chaz brings to our Pyxis team.  He is now totally dedicated to assisting others in uncovering the hidden information that’s crucial to attaining any desired purpose and goal.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to help people discover their excellence. An academy is an institution of learning that brings together diverse research to challenge people to think and develop in new ways. Our goal is to promote learning and growth for everyone with whom we work. Effective communication and leadership are not about following a script; they are a synthesis of your knowledge and insight that allow you to know where to go in each moment.

Pyxis (pyxis nautica) is a constellation in the southern hemisphere signifying the mariner’s compass. A compass guides you but doesn’t tell you where to go or where you should be. Our philosophy is to use science as our true north in everything we do; yet interviewing and interpersonal communication is also an art. Each individual has to find their own way to how the science works for them.
